The data we humans collect over time us blured by biases thus we cannot trust our memories.

People are usually misattributing it to W. Edwards Deming (I have checked on https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/W._Edwards_Deming and https://deming.org/quotes/ and could not confirm it).

Being interested in data and stories it can tell us, I did agree on the quote. But something was bothering me. For long time I thought that reasoning behind the quote was distrust to other people. I guess we can agree that 2010s were about disruption. It is hyped and overused word but nevertheless it is main trend in 2010s. In everchanging environment when rules of the game change in real time, it is normal that a lot of small players confronted head on with large players. And won.
